How are we already halfway through August?! Looking back on the summer of 2022, I couldn’t have received a greater welcome to my new position as the Director of Events and Corporate Relations at Spare Key! We have been so incredibly fortunate to have companies host events every single month this summer that have benefited Spare Key, and we’re not done yet!
With the Groove Gala coming to a complete at the end of April, our team didn’t hesitate to start the engines and jump right into summer!
Our summer kicked off with The Servion Group’s Annual Golf Tournament! We are extremely grateful to Servion for choosing Spare Key as their “Charity of Choice” for all fundraising events throughout 2022! We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to talk with dozens of companies and individuals about Spare Key and how we’re helping families both locally and throughout the nation.
Continuing with the season of golf, Spare Key’s July was stacked with two additional golf tournaments! First off, Spare Key was this year’s Presenting Sponsor at the 2022 Minnesota Mortgage Association Golf Tournament. We have a long-standing partnership with this generous organization filled with individuals that have supported Spare Key for MANY more years than I’ve been around! This tournament gave us the opportunity to show our appreciate for all the ways the MMA and its members have supported Spare Key throughout the years.
Rounding out the month was the 14th Annual Loop Charity Golf Tournament presented by Minnesota Title! This was our 6th year as the benefitting charity of this tournament and words can barely express our gratitude for the ownership team, management, employees, and sponsors that ensured this year’s tournament was the MOST successful yet! Even during the last couple years of extreme hardship for the restaurant industry, Rocket Restaurant Group has never once waivered in their support of Spare Key.
And now we are already halfway through August! Earlier this week, 4 members of the Spare Key team including myself, Sarah Putnam, Angela Frazier, and Erich Mische piled into Erich’s car towing a U-Haul and drove down to St. Louis, Missouri! We made the 9-hour road trip to attend the Mortgage Bankers Association of St. Louis 2022 Golf Tournament! There we met up with both old friends and new! It was HOT, but the friendships and partnerships gained were worth the sweat! Spare Key’s own Board Member Rebecca Yonaka even joined in on the fun for the day! We are lucky to have board members throughout the nation continually spreading Spare Key’s mission to ensure we grow our reach into every state throughout the nation.
A jam-packed summer, right?
Well, it doesn’t stop there! With every event, Spare Key has the opportunity to spread the word about Help Me Bounce helping families, “Be Seen. Be Heard. Be Found.”! These events give individuals a fun way to show their support while also spreading Spare Key’s mission of helping families in medical crises “Bounce and Not Break!”
Next up, our fall events kick off with Lend Smart Mortgage’s 13th Annual Mike Lust Charity Golf Tournament presented by Network Title! While golf is SOLD OUT, there are still SO many ways to get involved! We have sponsorship packages available along with volunteer opportunities and the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for AMAZING golf trips! And you don’t need to be present to win!
