My son was born 5 weeks early due to pregnancy complications and had respiratory distress which caused him to be put on a ventilator spent 3 weeks in the NICU and since then he's been in the hospital 3 more times with Rhinovirus, then pneumonia. This is our 4th time were on day 18 he was diagnosed with Parechovirus and necrotizing enterocolitis 7 days no food and strong antibiotics on the 7th day we were about to introduce food when he stopped breathing and we found out he had laryngomalacia which causes his airway to close up he will need surgery so while they were talking about surgery he started crying like he was in pain so they did another xray of his stomach and found out the necrotizing enterocolitis was back so we're on our 2nd round of 7 days no food and  antibiotics then they will put a feeding tube in to slowly introduce food back, also the xray showed his liver was enlarged so with him needing a swallow study before surgery and he has to  be eating regularly for a swallow study were going to be here a while we have spent a total of about 7.5 weeks in the hospital it's been so hard cause I have a 3.5 year old at home finding reliable trustworthy people to take care of him and me still be able to focus on the baby I live over an hour away from the hospital so I haven't got to see me other child very much
