Hi we are the Leslie's from a small town of Boyceville WI.  My wife went into preterm labor on 5/14/2019 in Menomonie, WI from there she was airlifted to Rochester, MN.  Our Elaina was born 10 weeks early on 5/16/2019 in Rochester, MN. She is doing well but she will have to be in Rochester most likely till July.   My wife is staying down there with her and I am commuting back and forth which is a 200 mile round trip to take care of our 3 kids that are at home.

It has been awhile since I have posted an update, but big things have been happening.

Elaina has been doing great! She is now over 5 pounds!!! I can't believe my 3 pounds peanut now weighs as much as a sack of flour! And is gaining more each day! We have finally turned the corner where we are continually gaining and not losing.

She is continuing to work at oral feedings. Slowly she is eating more from the bottle, but every day is different. Being she is so young, she tires easily. Who would have thought something so simple as eating could be so stressful and exhausting. But each day we continue to try. She's is a trooper.

I am still living here in Rochester and Blaine is home in Wisconsin working, maintaining our household and taking care of the other three kids.

We still have a long way to go before Elaina is able to go home. She has to continue to gain weight and have all of her feedings be 100% oral (not dependent on tube feedings) without complications.

Please continue to send positive vibes and prayers that she continues to grow and achieve her goals for discharge.

Thank you so much for your continued support!

Today I should be 33 weeks pregnant. Elaina obviously had other plans.

The increased feedings have help Elaina gain weight. She is now up to 3 lbs 10 oz!!

Today the nurse too the top off her isolette to see how she tolerates being more exposed to lights and noises of the outside environment. So far she is tolerating it well.

Thank you again for your continued support and prayers! We are forever grateful.

Today was a quiet day for Miss Lainey. Her Grandma and Grandpa Hahn came to visit.

Yesterday Blaine and I were able to move into the Ronald McDonald House. This place is beyond amazing. We are fortunate to be able to have a place to stay that is so close to our Baby Girl.

Lainey continues to grow and get stronger every day.

Thank you for your support and prayers!

Today was a quiet day for both me and Elaina. Her feeding volume was increased, she is handling the change well.

She continues to grow stronger every day. Although she has made tremendous progress...we still have a long journey before we can go home. We will take one day at a time and achieve every goal no matter how small or large.
