Hello,
My name is Sharice Robinson. I am a 48 year old entrepreneur, that not long ago moved from Minnesota where my three children and one grandchild currently reside. I relocated to Florida a little over a year ago to help care for my ill mother that was about to have surgery. I was laid off from my job in April due to the Covid Pandemic and since have been paying for my medical expenses out of pocket. I had been having a constant pain in my knee that had eventually gotten so bad that I had to schedule an appointment with my family doctor. Dr. Martinez then referred me to an orthopedic doctor that confirmed Osteoarthritis in my knee. Dr. Palumbo began providing me care by giving injections that did not provide relief as hoped. As a result, Dr. Palumbo advised of the option for having a partial knee replacement that would give a better outcome. I am now scheduled to have surgery October 6th, 2020 and was just informed yesterday, September 22nd, that I need to satisfy the remaining balance of my deductible, $500.95, before insurance pays the 100%. Without this surgery my mobility would be limited because as of right now I can't exercise, I am unable to play sports, I am unable to keep up with activities of daily living, I am unable to keep up with my 6 year old granddaughter that is autistic. This injury has been peen a painful, inhibiting nuisance that has effected me in so many aspects of my life.
