Down Syndrome
Amelia was diagnosed with Trisomy 21 and Duodenal Atresia while in utero. She received surgery to correct the Duodenal Atresia 2 days after birth which revealed an additional complication called malrotation. She's doing great but is still staying in the ICC until she can learn to eat, digest, and go to the bathroom on her own. She's a fighter and mom and dad think she's perfect.
