Hello! My name is Elaina. I was born at 37 weeks because my mom was having issues with pre-eclampsia. When I was born, I had fluid in my lungs and needed to go to the NICU. I was put on a breathing machine, glucose drip, and a feeding tube. My mom wasn’t able to hold me until I was three days old so she sat beside my NICU bed and held my hand. I was able to go home when I was five days old where I met my big sister and my dad held me for the first time. I’m now home with my parents and my big sister.
