The Fecher Family
Our Story
West is 19 months old and was born at just 23 weeks at 1 pound 5 ounces. Since he was born, he has spent 1/3 of his life in the Hospital (with multiple surgeries and complications including oxygen dependence and feeding tube dependence his whole life). His mom Katie is a social worker but stopped working when West was born (going from 2 full time incomes to 1 income for the first time). His Dad Grant works full time 6 days at week to support them.
West has defied all odds and proven he is not a statistic. The doctors originally gave him a 40% chance of survival). He does however have a lot of specialists and therapies each week, which increases the financial strain on the family as well.
There have been various expenses throughout this journey including ambulance rides, hospital bills, increase in utility bills (due to oxygen concentrator, nebulizer, infusions, airway clearance vest, and other life saving medical equipment).
There is no family located in the area to help with 24 hour care etc. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
