The Hertzog Family
Our Story
Maria, a 51-year-old Cincinnati native, was recently diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer, Stage 1b. She is grateful to be diagnosed at an early stage and is working with a local functional medicine oncologist as well as a conventional oncology team. She is pursuing an integrative treatment plan that will require multiple forms of care over the next six months. The majority of these treatments have been in use for many years with great success, yet most of them are not recognized by insurance. She is strong and determined, but the financial toll is daunting.
Maria has always considered herself healthy, active, and very much into holistic wellness over the last 20 years. Her husband, Scott, is a nine-year survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. During his treatment, a life-threatening chemo reaction due to medical negligence left a lasting impression on Maria.
Her hope is to make her body, mind, and spirit uninhabitable for the cancer and eventually reverse the prognosis by addressing the causes of the disease and not just the symptoms. She truly believes she can do this without major conventional medical intervention. She wants to be an advocate for others who feel pressured by our current medical system to give in to the standard of care as their only option.
Her treatment plan is extensive and will be a long road ahead. She is determined to continue her full-time employment throughout her healing journey. She will be receiving multiple months of the following therapies: IV Major Autohemotherapy / IV Artemisinin / IV Vitamin C / IV Mistletoe / Localized and Whole Body Hyperthermia / HOCATT sauna / Whole Body Red Light / RIFE Therapy
She is asking for help in easing some of the financial stress so she can focus fully on healing as these costs are more than she and her husband can manage. Any contribution truly makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this page would be a gift all in itself. She appreciates your love and support.
