My breast cancer journey began when I did a free genetic testing through a local health system. Those results showed positive for BRCA2 + and led me to getting a mammogram exam. The results showed an area of concern, which led to a breast US and a biopsy. The pathology from the biopsy came back as invasive mammary (or ductal) carcinoma. 

I opted for the bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction due to the chance of it coming back. During all of this, I’m at risk of potentially being evicted and of course I would need some repairs on my car. I have faith that God will get me through all of this (and help my adult kids to process it all too), I just need a little help to do so! Thank you!
