The Palombi Family
Our Story
My name is Christina and I am 37 years old. I have a son, Ryan who is 15 years old. In February 2025, I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma with Bulkey Disease (Primary Mediastinal Lymphoma).
I had to stop working and fight through very aggressive chemo. Because of this, I haven't worked since March 7, 2025. I had been hospitalized 8 times last year and had a total of 7 procedures/surgeries. Chemo was effective but not a complete response. In September, I underwent another surgical biopsy. The results came back as a new type of cancer: Syncytial variant Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkins Lymphoma. I went through another chemo and immunotherapy treatment. Again the treatment was effective but not a complete response. It looked as though there were more spots. A third option for treatment was offered but I took some time to strengthen my body again and focus on a more holistic approach as the spots were small and I did not want to subject my body to more possibilities of yet another cancer developing. During this time, my son and I had to move out of my place into a new place because of the financial strain. Once we settled in, after several months, I went for a new PET Scan and the it showed a complete response but not a cure. I am currently in remission. I’m continuing on the holistic path and continuing to strengthen my body again to return to work.
It has been an overwhelming year for us. We have prayed and believe in the best outcome for every situation. It’s been a difficult journey but not a miserable one as we have maintained the peace and Joy that only God can give. I am humbled to ask for help and take the opportunity granted to bounce back from this year and rise again into the beautiful life I believe God has for me. Thank you.
Family Updates
It is a joy to share that Help Me Bounce has helped me to pay my rent ahead so I can focus on other payments that are necessary and the finances to support my son in his sports and things. I’m very thankful for all the help! The cancer is decreasing and in remission at this time. That means, it is a season of rebuilding. Much was lost. Many changes took place. We are determined to make this life better than ever before as we move towards the goal to help as many people as possible with the time I have been blessed with on this earth. Thank you again for your help. God bless you!
