My father, Joe, was diagnosed with stage 4 small-cell lung cancer on December 17, 2025. He is currently undergoing aggressive treatment, including three consecutive rounds of chemotherapy every three weeks. As a senior citizen living on a fixed income, along with my mother, who is also retired, the financial burden of his care has become overwhelming. The cost of copays, medications, and ongoing treatment is placing significant strain on their already limited resources.

My father has three living children and has endured the heartbreaking loss of two daughters—one in 2020 and another in 2024. He is a devoted family man with 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who cherish and look up to him. He remains close to his faith, which has been a source of strength during this difficult time. A fisherman at heart, he loves being outdoors and can never get enough of it. He is also an avid football fan, cheering passionately for the Dallas Cowboys and the UT Longhorns.
