The Blageo Family
Our Story
On January 9th, 2026, we were in Hibbing, MN for our son's hockey tournament. Towards the end of the game, Luna was going in and out of consciousness, her eyes were rolling back in her head and she barely breathing. We rushed her the the ER in Hibbing, where they determined she was in shock, severely anemic,, in respiratory failure, and her heart was enlarged.
Luna was sedated, intubated, and placed on a ventilator. They wanted to fly her to Children's Hospital in the cities, but due to bad weather, they transported her 2 hours by ambulance to St. Mary's in Duluth. She received 8 blood transfusions, and a large iron transfusion. Her hemoglobin was 1.2 and the doctors and nurses in Hibbing and Duluth saved her life. We are forever grateful. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
