The Coop Family
Our Story
My name is Lisa, and I’m a wife and mom to four daughters living in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
For the past three and a half years, I have been fighting cancer. I was diagnosed at 37 years old, when my 4th daughter was a newborn. After my initial diagnosis, I went through chemotherapy and radiation.
Even after that treatment, the cancer continued to spread to my lymph nodes and then grew into my spine, which led me to go through radiation a second time. That second round of radiation caused my vertebrae to shatter, and I am now dependent on a walker.
I am still undergoing continuing treatment, and combined with my physical limitations, this prevents me from working outside of the home.
Through all of this, I have kept showing up for my family every single day. My husband and I are doing everything we can to keep things steady for our girls, but the financial weight of ongoing treatment on top of everyday life has been heavy.
Any support toward our bills during this season would mean more than words can say. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
