Isabella was just a normal 7-year-old who loved to play, sing, dance, and do crafts. December was supposed to be a time filled with excitement and joy, but just a few days before Christmas, our lives changed forever.

We discovered a lump on Bella’s rib, and after further testing, we learned that it was Ewing sarcoma, a type of cancer. At the time, we had been living in Arkansas for the past six years. When we received the diagnosis, we knew we had to get Bella to a specialist who could give her the care she needed. That meant making the difficult decision to fly her to Miami.

I quit my job immediately, and Bella and I moved in with my brother and his family in Florida so she could begin treatment. While we focused on getting Bella through her treatments, our family had to endure being separated. My husband and our son stayed behind in Arkansas so they could continue working and going to school while trying to support our household from afar.

For eight long months, we were separated as Bella fought through treatment.

In August, my husband and our son were finally able to move to Florida, and we found a place of our own so that our family could be together again while Bella continued her treatment.

Throughout this journey, Bella has endured more than any child should ever have to. She has undergone surgery to remove one of her ribs, countless scans and blood draws, numerous rounds of chemotherapy, and blood transfusions. Through it all, she continues to amaze us with her strength.

We are still fighting, but with your help, we don't have to fight alone. The financial assistance we have received has meant more to our family than we can put into words. It has allowed us to focus on what matters most—getting Bella better—and has given me the ability to be by her side and give her the care she needs.

Through everything, Bella never loses hope. She continues to smile, laugh, and be the amazing little girl she has always been.
