My son Nate was born a micro-preemie, weighing just 1 pound 6 ounces, and has faced significant health challenges ever since. He has cerebral palsy and autism and is nonverbal, requiring specialized care, therapies, and medical treatments that are not always fully covered by insurance. These ongoing needs place a tremendous financial strain on our family, making it difficult to keep up with regular bills, let alone save for the future.
