The Molina Family
Our Story
Greetings, my name is Ailany. My infant was delivered at 29 weeks gestation due to placental abruption, necessitating an emergency C-section. The baby is currently in the NICU and has required intermittent oxygen and CPAP support. I am also the mother of four other children, ranging in age from 4 to 13 years old.
Managing the needs of all my children while dividing my time has been exceptionally challenging. My husband was granted a two-week leave of absence from the temporary agency he works at, which was unpaid. He secured this temporary employment after recovering from a foot surgery a year ago, which prevented his return to roofing. Language barriers have complicated his job search within his field, as opportunities to demonstrate his skills are limited.
We are currently experiencing financial difficulties, struggling to meet our financial obligations, including rent and vehicle expenses. I am also managing postpartum depression and anxiety, which has further complicated my ability to cope with the current circumstances. The situation has created both emotional and financial strain on our family.
I am striving to remain strong for my infant and my other children, but this is emotionally challenging, given my own struggles with depression. My husband provided invaluable emotional support during his two-week leave. Now that he has returned to work, I find myself alone in the NICU with my baby, striving to maintain a sense of hope. Thank you for your time and consideration; we sincerely appreciate it.
