My husband and I moved up here from Florida 3 years ago to build a cabin in the woods. He slipped in the rain, fell and injured his back. When it wasn't getting better,  we went to the hospital, where they did a cat scan that revealed a mass on his lung. He never smoked cigarettes, nor did I, or any  family members.

Long story short, the cancer has spread to his brain, back, neck and pelvis. He had brain surgery and is now in treatment, chemo, and radiation. Our lives have been turned upside down. The travel for treatments is 3 hours one way, every two weeks. The added fuel and our monthly bills are hard to maintain. We are just trying to make it, and with living off-grid, having a hard time with solar power, generators, and wood for heat.. If there’s anyone out there reading this, thank you for taking the time.
