Our Story

Our Story

Our son, Noah Baez, was born at just 27 weeks and has been a true fighter since the day he entered this world. He spent 3½ months in the Children’s Hospital Saint Paul NICU and another 3½ months at Children’s Minneapolis CVCC. Noah was born with Noonan Syndrome, chylothorax, and pulmonary valve stenosis, and his journey has been filled with challenges that most adults will never face.

In the middle of his fight, Noah clinically died twice—once the week before Father’s Day and again on Father’s Day itself. The second time, CPR had to be performed for six long minutes. By God’s grace, Noah came back to us both times. We know without a doubt that his life is a living testimony of God’s mercy and power.

As first-time parents, my fiancé and I were terrified—not only of the unknowns of parenthood but of the medical battles our baby had to endure. My fiancé has had to stop working to care for Noah full-time, and with no nearby family to help, this has placed a heavy financial and emotional strain on us. My own work has been very slow, and we’ve had to rely on credit cards just to keep up with expenses after buying our first home last year.

Spiritually, this season has transformed us. Though it’s been daunting and overwhelming, God has strengthened our faith and reminded us daily to rely on Him. Noah’s life is a miracle, and we are grateful for every day we get to hold him.

We are humbly asking for your support—through donations and prayers—to help us keep moving forward as we continue to provide Noah with the care he needs. Every bit of support brings us closer to stability and allows us to focus on what matters most: giving Noah the love and care he deserves.

With gratitude, The Baez Family

Update on Noah – October 10th

On October 10th, our son Noah went in for a routine pediatric appointment. He was behind on his vaccines, so they gave him five that day. That same night, something terrifying happened — Noah suddenly became stiff on the left side of his body. We were so scared and called 911. The paramedic told us that he didn’t believe Noah was having a stroke or seizure, since he had seen those before in babies.

The next morning, Noah had another episode. We rushed him to the hospital, and that’s when we received the news no parent ever wants to hear — Noah had suffered a stroke. Doctors worked hard to control his seizures, and eventually he was transferred by ambulance to Minneapolis for specialized care. There, he was connected to an EEG and underwent an MRI and CT scan.

Noah battled seizures for three days. But here’s where we saw God’s hand move in the most incredible way — instead of losing abilities, Noah started gaining them. He regained strength in his left arm and leg. His lazy eye corrected itself. Even his trouble with taking a pacifier (which used to make him gag) completely went away. Now he takes it like a champ!

We’re still in awe and so thankful. What we thought was only tragedy became a testimony of God’s power and faithfulness. Please continue to keep Noah in your prayers as he continues to heal and amaze us each day.

How amazing is our God!
