Breast Cancer
Shelly was diagnosed with two types of breast cancer in early September of this year. The cancer was caught in an early stage (stage 2) through a mammogram.
Shelly and her husband have two daughters, ages 11 and 17. They are all adjusting slowly to this new, different Mom and wife that can't do all the things she used to do. She’s also had to stop doing her childcare jobs, which she misses very much.
She's in for a long haul of treatments. She is on her 2nd of 6 chemotherapy treatments, followed by surgery, radiation and possibly more chemotherapy, if needed.
We're really amazed with her bravery and acceptance of this diagnosis. She tends to leans towards the "why not me?" instead of the “why me?” She does feel scared and uncertain, but she tries to just have faith and puts her trust in the healing process and the medical field wholly.
