Tessa is our oldest daughter at 7 years old and helps look after her younger siblings: Adelaide-4, Hannah-3, Theodore-1, and Natalie-6 weeks. Tessa loves being in first grade with art as her favorite subject (she wants to be an art teacher when she grows up). Other interests are reading stories and listening to chapter books, hip-hop dance, gymnastics and being outdoors on a hike or in our raspberry patch. In October of 2020 Tessa fell ill with stomach pains and a fever and was taken to a local hospital ER where then she was transferred to Children's in Minneapolis and placed in the PICU. She had to have surgery to remove her appendix and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This was heart breaking for our family as we were just adjusting to Natalie being born and preparing for a hand surgery for Theodore. Tessa's Father Adam is a Early Childhood Teacher for Minneapolis Public Schools and her mother Kirsten stays home to care for the family.
