The Beatty Family

Lily has been doing great! She is up 2 pounds since birth, she now weighs 4 pounds 10 ounces and just started learning how to bottle feed. She knows momma and daddy’s voice and although she hasnt met sister in person yet, she responds to Ellie’s voice on the phone! Although Lily has been growing well, Mom Amber has had a rough month. Lily was early (10/5) due to Amber having Preeclampsia, which has lead to many other complications since. Hospitalized and away from Ellie from 9/30-10/15, two hospital er visits on 10/20 and 10/26 for severe migraine pains, and an unexpected seizure on 10/30 lead to finally finding the cause to some of the issues. 2 venous sinus thromboembolism, on the left side of Amber’s brain lead to the seizure and likely caused the severe migraines. She now has anti seizure medication, blood thinner injections 4 times a day, and continued blood pressure medication and monitoring to prevent anything more from happening such as a stroke. Now with the seizures and nee medication side effects like extreme dizziness, getting to the hospital to see Lily is even more difficult since Amber was the only driver in the family.
