    Name
    Lily Ann Beatty
    Injury/Illness
    Premature Birth

Lily was born on 10/05 at 30 weeks 4 days gestation due to preeclampsia complications. She weighed only 2 pounds at birth. Mom(Amber) was hospitalized 5 days prior for severely high blood pressure and the risk of stroke or seizures and doctors were only able to barely control it which was causing unsafe conditions for baby and mom. Lily will be in the Nicu for at least 9 weeks. Her weight keeps fluctuating right now as well as having apnea spells where her tiny body forgets to breathe. She will grow and learn to eat without her feeding tube during this time. Lily has an older sister at home who is two and missing mommy very much during the time Amber is with Lily at the hospital. Trying to balance seeing both children each day and the 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive between kids is causing a lot of financial and mental stress! Amber will be out of work for at least 8 weeks due to C section surgery and to have time to be with Lily while she is in the Nicu. Any funds raised will help tremendously!

    Lily is 1 Month Old!

Lily has been doing great! She is up 2 pounds since birth, she now weighs 4 pounds 10 ounces and just started learning how to bottle feed. She knows momma and daddy’s voice and although she hasnt met sister in person yet, she responds to Ellie’s voice on the phone! Although Lily has been growing well, Mom Amber has had a rough month. Lily was early (10/5) due to Amber having Preeclampsia, which has lead to many other complications since. Hospitalized and away from Ellie from 9/30-10/15, two hospital er visits on 10/20 and 10/26 for severe migraine pains, and an unexpected seizure on 10/30 lead to finally finding the cause to some of the issues. 2 venous sinus thromboembolism, on the left side of Amber’s brain lead to the seizure and likely caused the severe migraines. She now has anti seizure medication, blood thinner injections 4 times a day, and continued blood pressure medication and monitoring to prevent anything more from happening such as a stroke. Now with the seizures and nee medication side effects like extreme dizziness, getting to the hospital to see Lily is even more difficult since Amber was the only driver in the family. Any funds would go to help with getting to the hospital to see our girl! Thanks for reading!
