Hi, I'm Jason Bennett and I'm 37 years old. I am married to Miranda Bennett. We got married on August 17th, 2021. I met my wife in a homeless shelter in Vermont. I spent 5 years homeless because I suffer from Bipolar Schizoaffective disorder and severe PTSD and she was homeless due to hardships in life.

My mental illnesses kept me from being able to have a job and take care of myself. All I could do was run from town to town and state to state because of my hallucinations. I would see evil spirits and they would tell me that they were going to kill me, The ungodly visions would show me being tormented over and over, causing such fear in me. When I would get to a new town I would feel safe again, but only for a short time until my illnesses overcame me. I would become fearful unto death of the visions and the feelings of being murdered that I would flea for my life to another town, or in a lot of cases, another state.

I've been in the mental hospital an untold number of times, where they tried every medication. They tried different combinations. but nothing worked. I attempted suicide a few times but God kept me alive. I clung onto God and hoped for a miracle healing, which has not happened yet. Although God has helped, and I feel better to the point, I can stay in one place, have a relationship and a home. But I am still unable to work. He has healed me some, but I  have a little ways to go.

I have faith and believe that one day I'll be able to work and provide for my family. Right now my wife is the sole provider for us. She got pregnant and we were so happy, although complications arose. She had gestational diabetes, and eventually developed pre-eclampsia. We went for her 30-week routine prenatal check-up and her blood pressure was through the roof. They wanted to keep her overnight and get her on blood pressure lower with medications, and that's when they diagnosed her with pre-eclampsia with severe features. They told us she would have to deliver our daughter at only 34 weeks. Over-night turned into 3 days as they tried the get her blood pressure under control, when she began complaining about feeling like an elephant was sitting on her chest. They did chest x-rays and discovered her lungs were filling with fluids, so they called for an emergency c-section.

Our baby girl, Sophia Brielle Bennett, was delivered on March 6th, 2023 at 12:08 am, at only 30 weeks and 4 days. She weighed 2lbs 10oz and thank God she was healthy. She is currently in the NICU and the doctors say she will have to stay until her due date, which is May 10th, 2023. We live 30 miles from the hospital and the doctors want us to come 3-5 times a week to spend at least 3 hours a visit with her. We love her very much and we go as much as possible. It is so hard leaving my baby girl every time we visit..... We would visit her every day if we could afford it. We are struggling to get our bills paid and we truly need help. If you are willing to help us, we would be so grateful. Thank you for the time you spent reading my story. God bless.

    Sophia March 24th

Hi, Sophia is doing really well and progressing along nicely. Today, March 24th 2023 she weighs in at 3 lbs 2 oz. We are so ready for our little girl to come home but they are still saying it will be her due date which is May 10th 2023. My wife still hasn't been able to return to work yet but she only works part-time at a grocery store... we really could use all the help we can get. God bless
