Kylen is a Sickle Cell Warrior. He is 5 years old and trying to make it through his first year of Kindergarten with this disease. This has not been easy, he is subject to sickle cell crisis which are episodes of pain and this can be unpredictable in terms of length and severity. As you can imagine this requires a lot of time spent nursing his condition with me missing work to keep him, in some cases only comfortable when we wish he could be well. We are looking for help with rent and moving costs to get into a place more affordable, closer to his specialist with the foresight that we have a long battle ahead, but are hopeful.
