Hello, my name is Rebecca Brewster. I find myself in a difficult situation as I battle breast cancer for the second time and face financial challenges. It is particularly challenging to ask for help during the holiday season, a time when many are focused on celebrating and enjoying time with loved ones.

In 2004, I received my first diagnosis of breast cancer, which was undoubtedly a life-altering event. Like many others who have faced this disease, I embarked on a journey of treatment, resilience, and hope. Through the support of my loved ones and the guidance of medical professionals, I underwent various treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

Recently, I received the devastating news of a second breast cancer diagnosis. This time, the recommended course of action is a bilateral mastectomy, a surgical procedure involving the removal of both breasts. While this decision was not easy, I understand that it is necessary to ensure my long-term health and well-being.

As the holiday season approaches, I am humbly reaching out for assistance. I understand that this is a time when many individuals and families are already stretched thin financially, and I am grateful for any support that can be provided. Your generosity will not only help alleviate the financial strain but also bring hope and comfort during this challenging time.

I believe in the power of community and the kindness of strangers. Your support will not only help me in my fight against breast cancer but will also provide a glimmer of light during the holiday season. I am deeply grateful for any assistance you can offer, whether it be financial contributions, resources, or even sharing my story with others who may be able to help.

Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and considering extending a helping hand. Your compassion and support mean the world to me, and I am forever grateful for your generosity. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those facing difficult circumstances during this holiday season.

    Rebecca's Fight

Hello,  Now that the holidays are over and the New Year has started I wanted to give an update on my medical journey. These last few months have been incredibly hard since my two surgeries. I had a bilateral mastecomy with reconstruction surgery. I still have several more surgeries coming up in the next few months. During this journey I lost my job which is depressing but I am looking at it as when one door closes another door opens. (Hopefully that door shows up soon). Life has been difficult due to not being able to fully use my arms and my back where the surgeon took part of my lat muscle is still trying to heal. It is difficult to job search when you know your not fully capable of using both arms and your back. I will keep searching and will continue to update on this blog post when I can.
