The Calvillo Family
Our Story
On December 8th, I was admitted to the hospital for severe preeclampsia with the goal of staying in the hospital until January when baby would be at least 34 weeks. However, during one of the monitoring sessions, the baby’s heart rate dropped twice in 20 minutes. This ended up as an emergency c-section. Our sweet boy was born on December 15, 2025.
Baby boy is in the NICU and will probably be here another month. We are grateful to stay at the Ronald McDonald house, which takes a lot of the worry away. I am already on leave from work and my husband will have a month away from work to be with me while I’m recovering from a C-section. Anything will help keep our rent and some utilities paid. We greatly appreciate it during this time. Thank you.
Family Updates
Baby Jose is still in the NICU and we are now in a 3rd hospital out of state in a Children’s hospital in Minneapolis! Baby boy was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and has been on a cpap for a few months now. Finally 2 days ago he went down to high flow of 4 liters but today went back on cpap because he tested positive for rhinovirus. Overall he is doing well and hopefully the end of this extremely long hospital journey will be here soon.
