Hi everyone, my name is Aubhrey, and I’m a single mother to a delightful little two year old boy. As a 14 year veteran, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 3 breast cancer and an aneurysm in my brain just a few days before my son's second birthday. As a single mother, you can imagine my current fears.

I'm undergoing radiation and chemotherapy simultaneously on the daily, after recovering from a double mastectomy just a few months ago. Both cancer treatments are physically draining. The chemotherapy treatments have left me with dangerously low white blood cell counts and a compromised immune system, rendering it unsafe to do anything on my own while undergoing these lifesaving treatments. While heading to treatment one day my engine failed on the highway. I was able to get to safety but the repairs cost a fortune. The car was not totaled and I don’t have GAP coverage so the repairs have to come out of pocket . This vehicle is used for primary means to treatment and my baby school.

Financially this battle has been utterly draining. The financial strain of obtaining bedside care during my first year of fighting was overwhelming, on top of solely supporting my baby as a single mom. Any contribution, regardless of its size, will make a significant difference in enabling me to concentrate on fighting cancer and remaining the best mother I can be for my son.
