    Operation Silace

On the afternoon of March 11, 2022 Silace (pronounced: Sigh-liss) James Eagle was born 7 weeks premature to Kalace and Sidney. Silace was only two (2) days old when he and his mommy were separated. he has yet to meet his daddy. Silace has been at the NICU at Sanford since he was born and will continue staying under their care until he fully develops. Silace depends on oxygen because his lungs aren't fully developed and he utilizes a feeding tube when he can't complete his 2 ounce feeding.

Baby Silace is a happy and content baby and is working toward healthy progress so he can go home with his Grandma. for now, his grandma visits him in the NICU and reads him stories and talks to him assuring a positive outcome. Grandma has to start all over with furniture, clothes, necessities, medical bills, etc. for baby Silace as it will "hopefully" be a temporary living situation. Grandma and baby are anxious for mommy and daddy to come home and reunite with their beautiful baby boy.

Thank you in advance for your heartfelt contribution to a very strong willed baby boy, Silace James Eagle!!

    hello! it's me Silace!!

    Hello Friends and Family!

I am feeling much better since I was congested the other day. My wonderful nurses and doctors at NICU gave me medicine to help with my stuffiness and I am doing much better. My oxygen went up for the support that I need right now, but other than that I am able to eat and breathe better. My Blood rate is normal again and my blood pressure came up too. I am so grateful to the wonderful NICU doctors and nurses because they really take good care of me. They are preparing me to go home with my grandma.. I can't wait because my grandma and I need each other.

I talk to my mommy when my grandma visit's through facetime. I am so grateful for technology! it's made things much easier for my family.

I just wanted you all to know that I am doing really good and I am hoping to go home soon. Thank you for checking on me.

    Love,

    Silace

    "Yoo-Hoo! Update for Operation Silace"

Silace is progressing as of 3.31.22. He was happy to see his grandma and even happier to have her read him a Lakota Children's story.....

Silace is at 1/4 for oxygen now!!! Yay!!! He still must have it though, plus he is congested from the air going through his little nose. That didn't stop him from his continuous smiles!

His smiles heal your heart and sole!!! He's such a beautiful, happy, content baby!

His highlight was hearing his momma's voice over facetime! he gave her his biggest smile I have seen so far!!! Many more to come!

Keep checking in and we Will update you on Silace, He loves visitor's so come back later for updates.
