It started with a cough and earache. I kept ignoring it because my boyfriend at the time (8 yrs) had kidney failure and was in a coma for ten days. I kept helping him bounce back by going to dialysis, take meds, etc. In the meantime I started noticing a small lump I had for a long time start to get bigger and bounce around. I got to the point I was choking even on a tablespoon of water. I asked my boyfriend to go to the hospital. Well he had better things to do. They decided nothing was wrong with my throat but found out I have a brain aneurysm & a hole in my heart that caused a mini stroke. They sent me home. Then had the same issue with choking and the lump getting bigger, so I asked to be sent to a cancer specialist. They didn't even it, so I pointed it out on the screen. Finally I get a referral for another doctor and they did a biopsy. Sure enough, stage two going into stage three. Ex boyfriend was going to help me through the chemo and radiation which I just finished and I am still waiting for him to come help 6 mos later. I lost a lot of money paying for people to go to the store for things that I just don't have the energy to do.
The few weeks after radiation and chemo are the hardest, as I am very sick. I'm not asking for much, just enough to not get further behind. I have contacted other places, but have had no luck. I'm in Ohio fighting for my life, all alone. My family is in Illinois and can't help because my mom is on hospice. Thank you everyone for anything you can help make this journey easier.
