I suddenly lost the use of my legs last year and doctors are still trying to determine the cause. I need these funds to pay medical bills, try to save for a wheelchair accessible van or to keep up with my mortgage. My story follows.

I developed a condition that has truly changed my way of life, starting with not being able to work since April 2024. Last April, I noticed a problem with my legs when I could not stand up from a chair. Once standing, I could walk fine, but since then, my condition has progressed to the point that I cannot stand at all and haven't since November. Doctors are still trying to determine the exact cause. It could be an autoimmune issue called CIDP or a degenerative disease, but either way, there is an attack on my nervous system that is causing this immobility. They are currently trying to stop the progression, but we just have to wait and see. I have been in and out of hospitals and rehab facilities many more times than I can count but I should be home going forward. With me no longer working,  my husband's income is not nearly enough to get by.
