Charles  was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in Oct 2024. He worked all his life to care for his family and others, just to lose everything because of this diagnosis. He just had 2 new grandbabies and that's all he can think about, going and seeing them with the time he has left. Funds are tight and they live a couple hours away, so that makes it hard. He loves fishing with his sons and grandson when he can. I'm just heartbroken. We've been together for 35 years and I know we're on borrowed time.

My daughter, adult son and grandkids live with us, making 7 people total with Charles income. We are really struggling to keep up with mortgage, utilities and car payment. He shouldn't be stressing while seeking treatment. I have tried a lot of organizations with  no luck. I know we're not the only ones going through difficult times, but I want Charles to enjoy what time he has left without worrying. You never think this can happen to you, but it can. We lost health insurance, but grateful for St. Francis programs who helped with his treatments. The doctor told him, with treatment he has 2 or more years to live. Not long enough for the love of my life.
