The Gantt Family
Our Story
Thank you for taking the time to read my campaign. I am 50 yrs old with 3 grandchildren, (2 that live with me) and they are the love of my life! I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in March of this year. This is something a female doesn’t want to hear. I don’t really remember my first reaction other than what am i going to do? I didn't want to do treatments initially and let nature take its course. Please don’t judge me for that. But because of my daughter, I decided to do chemotherapy for now, then possibly surgery. (I have 2 children- one male, 33 & one female, 30). They are opting for a double mastectomy, but I don’t know if I will be able to handle that mentally, then lastly radiation.
Before being diagnosed with cancer, I was already on disability for being diagnosed with anxiety and bipolar 2. It’s hard to live off just disability, so to make up income, I sell women accessories on a live streaming platform. Now with having to do chemo treatments, I am not able to do any live shows and its really hard to schedule shows when I don’t know from day to day how I will feel. Without that extra money coming in my bills are getting behind and the food situation is scarce. This disease is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy!
