I am submitting on behalf of Jason Garcia. Jason is a real estate agent and has been with our brokerage Quinlan Realty since 2019. He has always put others before himself. Jason has donated a portion of every check he has ever received to his client’s favorite charity (including Spare Key).

In late May he was diagnosed with cancer in his hard palate, jawbone, and lymph nodes. He needs to have an intensive surgery which requires cutting his femur bone and using it to reconstruct the hard palate of his mouth. Fortunately, Jason was approved for a clinical trial which will greatly increase his chances of survival. The downside is that he wears dentures and will no longer be able to. The only option would be implants (which insurance will not cover).

He is currently receiving the required infusions from the clinical trial and is set to have surgery in early August. Once surgery is complete there is a 6-week recovery period and then he begins radiation. After recovery from radiation, he will undergo chemotherapy treatment followed by another 6-week recovery period.  

I am certain Jason will make it through this due to his faith, desire, and need to provide for his wife Becky, his grandson Blake, and his stepson Cam whose father has recently passed away. Unfortunately, he is unable to work and will not be able to until October. His only fear is his ability to provide for his family without teeth in an industry that requires meeting with people face to face.  

I can promise two things. 1) The world is a better place with Jason’s smile. 2) Jason, along with myself, and the other agents in our office will work hard to make sure we donate back to Spare Key a minimum of what is received. Thank you for taking the time to read and God Bless!
