Payton was living life like your typical 2 year old - care free & happy as could be! Her typical day consisting of throwing tantrums, playing dress up with her sister, and watching Cocomelon with out a care in the world.

On January 12, 2023, Payton was taken in to Children's Kenosha Urgent Care for a follow up visit for a cold that she wasn't improving from after antibiotics. During the visit she had blood work done due to some bruising that was occurring more often than normal. Not more than 2 hours after her appointment, her mom received a call from the doctor letting her know that Payton needed to be taken to Children's Hospital Milwaukee ASAP for further testing due to the results of her blood work. The doctor also stated to be very careful handling Payton from that point on until she was in the care of the specialists, as she was at a high risk for bleeding due to the concerning blood work results.

At Children's Hospital Milwaukee, Payton and her parents met with the Oncology team immediatly to review her blood work results. This is when life came crashing down on the Glithero Family. Payton was diagnosed with Acute B-ALL Leukemia. This is something that you never imagine hearing about your child. This beautiful, sweet, loving baby girl had no idea how her life was about to change.

As Payton approaches 3 weeks into treatment, she is one tough little girl. There are ups and downs and obstacles that she is learning to battle through; but she is pushing through the challenges each and everyday and WILL continue to do so because she is one TOUGH girl!

The most important thing that keeps her family going every day is "Each and every day is a new day. You can only take it one day at a time.

And as for today? Today is good day!"

    There are no family updates.
