    Hi everyone !

My name is Ozzie, I am my mommy and daddy's rainbow baby. I want to share a little bit about my journey here into this life.
In February while carrying me along , my mommy had appendicitis, and had to have emergency surgery . So she was off work for 2 weeks with her surgery then we got Covid 🥹 , and we had a couple more weeks off work . My mommies been at her job a long time, and works really hard ,but her company just changed their policies to no paid time off .

Then On Thursday March 23, my mommy was admitted to the hospital due to high blood pressure readings, which was the start of preeclampsia!   After a weekend of tests and monitoring at the hospital, she was released on Sunday March 26 to go home under frequently monitored Doctors care.  On Wednesday March 29 she was readmitted to the hospital due to more high blood pressure readings.  Due to this and other test results , the doctor said my mommy and I were going to do bed rest in the hospital until I was born. The doctor & my mommy & daddy were praying we could make it to 34 weeks (currently 29 weeks 6 days at admission) so I could grow more and get stronger. they even gave my mommy shots so my lungs could develop faster !   Things didn’t go quite as hoped for and I decided to join this world early, being born via emergency c-section Friday March 31 at 11:54pm.  I was born at 30 weeks 1 day weighing 3lbs. 5.6ozs and 15 3/4 inches long.  Due to my lungs not being ready yet , I was unable to breathe on my own and was intubated and taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit immediately after birth.

Due to being born 10 weeks early, I have a lot more growing and developing to do.  The doctor's are saying I'll probably need to be here and away from home for 8-12 weeks.  My Mommy and Daddy drive a long ways everyday to spend time with me & hold me ! As my big sister Avery needs them too!
Although I'm little, I sure am strong, I just wanted to meet everyone a little early.
