The Januszewski Family
Our Story
I am a 40 year old single, sole provider to a beautiful 4 year old girl. I waited until later in life to become a mother because I wanted to be established and enjoy the time. That was cut short when I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia when my daughter was 5 months old. The medication I take to keep the Leukemia at bay has wicked and unpredictable side effects. I feel like I spent most of my daughters younger years in bed sick. I always tell her how lucky i am to have her, but she deserves a mommy who can play.
I work full time and if I miss work due to my illness, but do my best to make it up. I can not afford to miss any of the money I am making. Between rent and rising prices we are just skating by. From what I am told by my doctor I am on my last leg of treatment. We are going to try treatment free remission sometime in the beginning of the year. I am hoping this helps with all the problems I have been having and I can go back to being me. Any help from anyone even just a kind word or words of support are always welcome. I appreciate everyone out there willing to help someone like me.
