My husband of 27 years was depressed, and we were in the process of getting him help. He made a choice that affected his whole family by ending his own life on his 53rd birthday. This is incredibly hard to write as I can’t fathom that he was in so much pain. I honestly can’t wrap my head around the whole situation because it is so surreal. He left me and 5 adult children with our heads just spinning.
