Matias was a 27 week baby, who weighed 2lbs when he was born. Unfortunately, the hospital where he was born did not know how to care for a premature baby and Matias was under a lot of stress which made him have a bleed in his brain which has caused him to have CP in the legs. He is not able to walk now, due to a surgery done on his legs on 04/11. This surgery will help him walk better in the long run and also allow his feet to go down instead of being on his tippy toes all the time. We will be staying here until 05/18 because of required intensive therapy. We are from Dayton, Nevada but have to travel to Oakland, CA for this surgery and treatment. It has been very hard for us financially, and especially with gas. Everything is very expensive here.
Matias also has two older brothers and it has been extremely hard for us to be away from them. I just want Matias to walk like a normal child and be able to run and play with his brothers. We appreciate all the help we can get. Thank you
