For decades, Juan worked hard to build successful businesses and provide for himself and his family. His career has been dedicated to helping homeowners, businesses, schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations lower their energy costs through energy-efficiency improvements and solar solutions. Then, in a matter of seconds, his life changed.

Juan was rear-ended on Interstate 95 by an uninsured driver operating a vehicle owned by CARite of Oakland Park. The collision left him with serious spinal injuries and chronic pain that have affected every part of his daily life.

Since the accident, Juan has endured countless medical appointments, injections, rehabilitation, and ongoing treatment. He now needs spinal surgery, followed by an extended recovery at home. During that time, he will be physically unable to return to his normal work schedule or earn the income he once relied on.

This fundraiser has one urgent purpose: to cover six months of Juan’s rent so he can proceed with spinal surgery and recover safely at home without the constant fear of losing his housing. Having that stability will also allow him to gradually resume working from home as his condition permits.
