Our Story
Hi, my name is Karen and I am a single mother of an 11-year-old son. I am free from a domestic violence relationship for three years now and have been living in my new home for the last two. In May I had a hardfall and broke my hip which required a total hip replacement. Which put me out of work out of work for close to six weeks. I have no other help, therefore I am far behind in my rent and utilities. My main concern is getting my rent paid which I am behind one month. Any help would be appreciated to get me back on track. I am working hard to get my utilities caught up as well so anything would be helpful.
Family Updates
I am so close to my goal to pay July’s rent! I can’t say thank you enough for all those that helped. The smile on my baby’s face gives me so much hope. I’ll do anything I need to keep us in our home. I won’t let my surgery get me down! Thank you again for all the help,
Thanks to a beautiful soul, I am nearly halfway to my goal! All I can say is thank you very much. I am the sole provider for my family so this has been rough. I appreciate the help and consideration I have received so far. And I pray I can get back on my feet very soon so I can pay it forward.
Thankfully for the beautiful soul who donated to my campaign I am halfway to my goal. Keeping my family together in our home means everything to me. I appreciate any and all help, and once I am back on my feet again I intend to pay it forward. This has been very hard because I am not one to ask for help, but for my kids I will do anything.
