My name is Keenan Morris I am a 35-year-old from NYC and I have been living in Dallas for 4 years. In March 2022 I was diagnosed with a form of transverse Myelitis I had numbness and weakness in my legs and hands and couldn't walk. I was hospitalized at Baylor medical and inpatient rehab for 6 months. During that time I lost my job and used up all my financial resources just to pay bills. My social security disability application has been pending since July 2022. This has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to deal with and while my recovery is going well it is difficult to focus when I am staring down potential eviction and overdue utility bills. It is a difficult journey to get my life back in order.
