The Palombi Family
Our Story
My name is Christina and I am 36 years old. I have a son, Ryan who is 15 years old. In January, this year, Ryan’s grandmother passed away due to breast cancer. Then, in the midst of grieving and adjusting to this loss, in February, I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma with Bulkey Disease. The tumor was 10cm and located in the center of my chest.
I had to stop working and fight. Because of this, I haven't worked since March 7, 2025. I have been hospitalized 8 times from April through to August of 2025. The tumor shrunk but new nodules appeared. In September, I underwent another surgical biopsy. The results came back as a new type of cancer: Syncytial variant Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkins Lymphoma. I am now undergoing chemo and immunotherapy and will begin radiation when chemo is complete. We are unsure of the length of the remaining treatment.
My parents have temporarily paused everything to come help care for myself and Ryan during this time. During which, my father is facing his own medical battles, while he and my step mom take care of us. My father has severe metal toxicity which he is undergoing treatment for., and is in adrenal gland failure. He also needs two reverse shoulder replacements, and has 11 herniated discs.
It has been an overwhelming year for all of us. We have prayed and believe in the best outcome for every situation. It’s been a difficult journey but not a miserable one as we have maintained the peace and Joy that only God can give. As Jesus said about Lazarus: "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God". There is a lot of hope and plans for our future. We are humbled to ask for help and take the opportunity granted to bounce back from this year of family illness and rise again into the beautiful life we believe God has for us.Thank you.
