Hi, my beautiful and outgoing 11 year old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a little over 2 years ago. Our lives changed completely that day. Each day is completely different from the day before, regarding her blood sugar numbers and we are constantly on our toes to keep up with changes regarding her insulin dosages. She is the bravest and strongest person I have ever met. She has not let having Type 1 Diabetes slow her down for a minute. I couldn't be more proud of my daughter and I feel so lucky God chose me to be her mom!
I am a single mother and had to stop working in order to be available to my daughter on any day and at any time. Between the co-pays, diabetes supplies, gas to drive over 2 hours to her endocrinologist, diabetes devices, etc. I barely have enough money left over to pay my bills, buy groceries, among several other things.
