Hello at my 20 week ultrasound with Logan we found out his diaphragm wasn't developing and he was diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia which had caused his intestines to move into his chest crushing his lungs and his heart during development. He had his first surgery at 3 days old to repair the missing diaphragm and remove his intenstines from his chest. His lungs weren't able to grow fully due to being pinned so his left lung was half the size it was supposed to be, they found during the scans while fixing his diaphragm that there was a black mass on his left lung which we found out in 2019 is a Congenital cystic Adamatoid malformation which had to be removed with the lower lobe of his left lung in June 2019. Back tracking after his diaphragm was repaired and he came home from the Mayo NICU he had a 100% bowel obstruction that almost took his life, after 2 more surgeries the team of doctors was able to remove scar tissue bands that had formed around his intenstines from the Diaphragmatic Hernia repair surgery. In December 2019 we were rear ended in our home town and Logan had to be brought in to be seen at the emergency room where they found a heart murmur, because of COVID we weren't able to get into see his Cardiologist until June, we found out he had a sub Aortic membrane on the left ventricle which was causing the blood to spray backwards into his heart, that needed to be removed within a few months meaning he needed to have open heart surgery 😭 we were devastated considering he's been through so much already. He had open heart surgery August 13th 2020 to remove the membrane and a bronchoscopy to check his airways to make sure he could handle surgery. He came through surgery and we were able to come home August 19th 2020. He still has a long journey ahead of him our greatest challenge is that I cannot work having to be home with Logan (and 5 other kids) I've tried applying for SSI for Logan and my other heart warrior but they keep getting denied and the attorney we were working with is unavailable because of COVID. I am having a hard time keeping up with bills and gas. My vehicle has gone become junk. We would appreciate all the prayers we can get! Thank you for your time. Sorry if this sounds messy!
