Hello everyone, my name is Jody. I'm a hard-working mother of five. I am also a grandmother of five, a wife and the main bread winner for my family. We have lived in Angora a rural township in the country for 35 years, and I've worked at the resorts as a housekeeper in Northeast Minnesota. My husband was shot in the foot years ago, making it hard to work, especially in such a rural setting. So, we switched roles, and he was the homemaker, taking care of everything including our son, Waylon (the only child left at home), and I was the only full-time bread winner of our family. 

When I broke my knee in an accident at home, and having surgery, the surgeon missed that I tore four ligaments in my foot, and will need surgery to reattach the ligaments to my bones. I have been in a lot of pain since the accident. It's been around 8 months, and I am still on crutches struggling to walk. All of this has been complicated and extremely frustrating and difficult. I am stressed out every day and no relief in sight. On top of all of this, I was just diagnosed with severe Psoriatic Arthritis as well. I have been out of work for the last fourteen months, and now it looks like I will have at least six months to a year of recovery before I can go back to work. 

The news has been absolutely devastating to my family. My husband helps with everything. Taking care of myself and our teenage son. Needless to say, we have been struggling financially for the last 14 months and have at least another 6-12 more additional months. We own our own home in the country with a mortgage. However, we are only receiving money from the county. We have come really close to losing our house multiple times already, and we are currently two months behind on our mortgage. We are low on propane, behind on light bills and various expenses. We are struggling everyday just to survive, borrowing money from family and friends. We are desperate for help!! 

I am 60 years old, and my husband is 51 years old. We have always been able to survive. Until my accident at home. We have been praying every day for help.
