Hello, this is Madison. She is a bright six-year-old girl who has overcome many obstacles in such little time on this earth! It started at the age of three when we took her in for a visit to the ER. We thought she just didn’t feel well, but our lives were forever changed in an instant. Doctors came in & said she was in the end stage of heart failure and her heart was only functioning at 10%. A week later the doctor told us that she was going to need a heart transplant. She ended up being taken to the mayo clinic in Rochester Minnesota where we waited eight months for her to receive a new heart.
After receiving a new heart, Madison ended up contracting Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) from the donor . The doctors monitored her closely, but unfortunately the EBV ended up turning into PTLD. In May 2022. Then a year later, she was diagnosed with T cell cancer in her neck. She started chemotherapy on June 9, 2023 at the Mayo clinic,
Madison is loved dearly, and because her chronic illness, my husband & I have both stopped working to give her the care and spend as much time with her as we can. In this difficult time, we are asking for help so we do not have to face homelessness, and help maintain our bills. We have three additional children at home, and this unfortunate situation has brought unbearable sadness to our family. Words cannot express our gratitude and want to express how grateful we are for the help and God allows us to receive. Thank you
