The Richardson Family
Our Story
Since December 2025, my family has experienced overwhelming hardship and life-changing medical challenges. My husband and the father of my two young sons committed suicide in December 2025, leaving me as a newly single mother trying to support our family emotionally and financially.
At the same time, BOTH of my sons live with the chronic and highly demanding medical condition, Type 1 diabetes. More recently, one of my sons experienced a severe neurological illness involving prolonged uncontrolled seizures lasting several weeks, with concerns for auto-immune encephalitis, FIRES, and NORSE syndrome. He required extensive medical care, hospitalization, and is currently on multiple seizure medications. We are still learning the long-term neurological effects this may have on his learning, memory, emotional well-being, and daily life.
Since losing my husband, I have had very little time to grieve while managing constant medical appointments, insurance changes, financial strain, school support needs, and caregiving responsibilities for my two cute medically complex children. Any financial assistance will help relieve major financial burdens, including student loans and vehicle payments that are essential for maintaining stability, transportation, and ongoing medical care for my family during this difficult time.
