In February, I lost my brother, Curtis, at the age of 49, to suicide. Curtis was a deeply generous and kind person who loved spending time outdoors and working with his hands. The shock and heartbreak of his passing have been overwhelming. As the last surviving member of our family, I am carrying this grief alone. More than anything, it is deeply important to me that Curtis receives the dignity and lasting peace that he searched for his entire life.

As his sole surviving relative, laying Curtis to rest falls entirely on me. Because I live with severe chronic health conditions and disabilities, I survive on a very limited fixed income and simply cannot afford these sudden expenses on my own.​ I am setting an initial goal of $1,500 to cover the immediate burial expenses. While total costs will ultimately be higher, raising $1,500 will make it possible to begin the burial process.​ All funds will go directly toward:​ Opening and Closing of the Grave - Essential cemetery fees required for his burial; A headstone for a permanent marker to honor Curtis's memory; And a graveside service.
