I went to see my doctor in January, when she told me my platelet were high and needed to see a hematologist/oncologist. When I went for the follow up, he ran multiple tests and found a tumor on my right kidney.  I was then sent to an urologist, where they told me a partial nephrectomy is the best plan at this point.  I have surgery scheduled for April 19th. 

This has been a very fast whirlwind of information, appointments, and craziness. I am a mom of 3 children, who are aged 22, 20, and 10 years old.  We are trying to keep everything as normal as possible, especially for the 10 yr old. I have not been able to work due with the appointments, surgery approaching, and the recovery afterwards.  I hate to ask for help, but I do not know what else to do.  Thank you for listening to my story.
