I had a hip replacement in August of 2024 and it subsequently became infected. I had to have the procedure redone in May 2025 and during that procedure, my femoral nerve got damaged. The recovery has been extremely slow.  I have three jobs with my third job being a server in a restaurant, which I have not been able to do.  I am hoping to go back by Thanksgiving, but that is still up in the air.

I also found out that I will be having a procedure on December 9th to take out 3 cables that are around my femur.  The hope is that some of the nerve that may be compressed will be relieved by this and I will be able to walk better. This has affected my income, specifically my ability to pay rent as that income was a big part of that.  I am also a single mom so every bit helps especially with the holidays coming up.  I want to make sure I can do the best for my son.
