Skylar is a fertility-treatment baby. It took us eight years to get pregnant with her. I was pulled out of work much sooner than expected and put on medical leave. She arrived six weeks early due to complications with my pregnancy. Skylar had IUGR, and I developed severe preeclampsia, which led to an emergency induction. 

After two days of attempting labor, I had an emergency C-section because her heart rate dropped with every contraction. She was born at 3 lbs. 15 oz. and taken straight to the NICU, where we spent three weeks. During that time, my partner lost his job because he took so much time off to be with us in the hospital.

Also, before having Skylar,  when I was pregnant, I was in a car accident in May. I was on my way to my graduation ceremony, when I had a seizure due to the medications I’d been prescribed. I have not been able to get my jeep back still. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
